A Little Bit About Translations

A Little About Different Translations

Amplified Bible is a grade level 11. This word for word translation (with amplification of word meanings) is “amplified” by means of a system of brackets and parentheses, which sometimes makes for fragmented reading. This popular translation is used by evangelical and mainline Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox Christians to understand the hidden shades of meaning of Greek and Hebrew. I like this translation.

ESV is grade level 8. Is a word for word translation that is more readable than the KJV. A literal update of Revised Standard Version that seeks to produce a word-for-word correspondence.

CEV is a grade level 5.4. This translation is a thought-for-thought, meaning-based translation in clear, simple English that a child can understand, but with a mature style adults can appreciate. Conservative, evangelical use this translations. This translation was made better for the kids.

HCSB is a grade level 7.5. This translation is a balance between word-for-word and thought-for-thought translation that is highly readable. Written in modern English that appelas to Bible readers of all ages.

King James Version Easy Reader is a grade level 4.9. Using the original 1611 KJV text, the KJVER uses minor word changes to make the KJV easier to use and understand.

Why Use Different Study Bibles?

Why Use Different Study Bibles? Why Use Different Versions?

There are many types of Study Bibles like there are the Ryrie Study Bibles, Life Application Study Bibles, just a regular Study Bible, Quest Study Bibles, and many more.

The one I really like to use is the Life Application Study Bible/ This Bible has summaries of different people in the Bible on why they where good and what there flaws were, because everybody has got that somewhere we just have to pray about and just work on them. Going forward on getting better on them flaws is better than staying where you r at. The Life Application Study Bible has a great maps. This Bible relates to what we are going through know and not what they went through 400 yrs ago and on.

I also like the Quest Study Bible, but I think the Quest Study Bible is more for the ones that are just starting to study the Bible. It doesn’t go as deep as some of the other Study Bibles. It is for people who have a lot a questions about the Bible.

Each Study Bible brings you closer to knowing God so we can get ready to see Him everyday of the week for eternity. Help other people get to know God and start with Buy Bible Online

Compare NKJV and KJV?

Compare NKJV and KJV?

Before you Buy Bible Online read about different translations and figure out what is the right one for you.

KJV (King James Version)

It was published: 1611, and than in 1769 it got revised. The studying and reading level is for the 12th grade. The translators that done this Bible was Anglican. Anglican is a group of Christianity that was connected with the Church of England. They had similar beliefs. They started the translation in 1604 and finished in 1611.

The great things about the KJV: The old classic is all the same strong after 400 years of use. To a lot of people this is the Bible. This has a poetical and majestic language and structure and was translated exceedingly well. God used this versions to sprad is Word out to many people. To a lot of people this version got people to gone Christianity because the versions sounds Biblical. The translators attempted to translate the KJV as a Christian Bible that was literary, exact, comprehensible and would last. Naturally, they had no idea that their work would be spread out to so many people.

The not so good things about the KJV: While still popular and a great translation of God’s Word, this Bible is old-fashion in many respects. When they wrote the KJV is was back in 1611 and so therefore some of the modern versions, not all of them, are far close to the original than the KJV manuscripts. They have found out more information about the old language that they didn’t know.

The names for God this versions uses are  Jehovah, LORD, GOD, Jah

The KJV is still a great translation. This is a translation I love to use.

NKJV (New King James Version)

NKJV was published in 1982. The studying and reading level is 9th grade. The translators were a mixed of Evangelical and Fundamental conservatives. The NKJV was published by the Thomas Nelson, INC.

The good things about the NKJV:  About the same wording and language structure of the King James Version. In the NKJV the “thees and Thous” are out. Language isn’t too idiomatical so as to be dated too quickly, and it is so much easier to read than the KJV or the Authorized Version. Is a modern retreading of the KJV instead of afresh version. Variant readings from other texts are placed in the margins for people to read. Many conservative Christian churches have acquired the NKJV, ascertaining as the old Authorized Version is up for  update but they don’t want to go too far to another translation.

The not so good things of the NKJV: The biggest problem with this version is that they used pretty well the same text but changed the older manuscripts and so now you have part of the 17th century language with the 20th century language. At times that could get pretty hard to understand.

The names they use for God are LORD, GOD, Yah

What to Do When People Ask You How to Become A Christian?

What to do When People Ask You How to Become a Christian?

Need to give this person a Bible? Buy Bible Online

As A believer you have to opportunity to spread the the Word of God out to people. When people find out you are a Christian they will look at you and find out how a true Christian should act. When they like what they see they may come up to you and ask how do I become a Christian. The Follow is a guide to have them understand how to begin a relationship with God.

The person ask about sin. He thinks he has done to much for God to forgive him.

The fact is your sin keeps you from having a greater personal relationship with God.

Tell the person that ask you that most people don’t understand the concept of sin. We live in a fairly amoral world that believes each person can do whatever they want. That they can decide what is wrong and what is right and what is moral. If you don’t watch the right television and movie shows, they can be really bad.

What is Sin?

Look at James 4:17 and 1 John 3:4

Jesus came down to earth to show how to live a sinless life. We will sin because we are all sinful. Nobody is perfect and nobody will be perfect. We got to strive to be perfect though. The better you get with sin the closer you get with God.

Who has sinned?

Look at Romans 3:23 and Romans 5:17

The Bible says everybody has sinned. No matter how heard you try you will sin, but God will forgive you of that sin no matter how bad. Humans entered the Earth as non sinners but when Adam and Eve sinned humans knew what sin was a brought it into there life.

What is so bad about sin?

Look at Romans 6:23 and Isaiah 59:2

Sin can lead to not having a relationship with God and can also lead us into death because we never got saved. If God didn’t send Jesus our Lord and Savior down here to die for our sins we would never be saved.

Buy Bible Online for the people who are asking about the Lord Jesus Christ and let them know why you are always so happy.

Why We Need to Spread the Word Of God?

Why We Need to Spread the Word of God?

The importance of spreading the Word of God is very important. Christianity in other countries like Africa, Iran, Iraq, and many others are losing Christians left and right. There is some facts:

Did you know in 1910 in the Europe, North and South America 93% of people considered themselves as Christians, in 2010 it is 63% of the people.

It is kind of weird that Christianity started in the Middle East and they where crowded with Christians and now that part of the Earth has the lowest percent of Christians in that area. Those countries are getting crowded with muslims now.

Ninety percent of Christians live in an area where Christians are a majority. The other 10 percent live in Countries where they are minorities. Where the 10 percent of the people live they are being harassed and being killed in those countries.

Jesus Christ already bet satan so we need to fight for Him. There is no way we can ever pay Jesus Christ back for what He did. We need to stand up for Christianity to keep out the muslims. Buy Bible Online to spread the word out of Our Lord Jesus Christ. If you already have a Bible give it to somebody else that needs it.

Compare the NIV 2011 and KJV

The Bible, meaning the Holy Bible, as been translated into many different languages and also versions. It is very hard to pick the right one, but I think the Holy Spirit is doing its finest to allow everyone acknowledge about God’s love thru His Christian Bible.

I am going to give you some information on what translations is right for you so you can Buy Bible Online

King James Version (KJV)

The King James Bible (KJV) is a old version. It came out in 1611, but then the King James got revised in 1769. It’s a poetic, literacy style using 17th-century Elizabethan English. Theological affiliation is Church of England. This Version is the most universally accepted translation, but this version is very hard to read. The reading level on this translation is 12th grade.

The good parts of this translation is this old classic is still strong after four hundred years. God used this translation to get the word out. It was also translated really well for Hebrew and Greek writings.

The bad parts to this translation is this Version is archaic in many respects. The manuscripts from which the KJV was translated were far more recent than those discovered later and used in the modern versions. Of course the modern Bibles are much easier to read.

New International Version (NIV)

The NIV came out in 1978 and then it was revised in 1984. Now they got the 2011 updated Version which I really don’t care about, but it gets people closer to the Lord then I guess I am all for it. The 2011 Updated Version is a reading for the 8th Grade level.

The good parts the NIV 2011 it is a slight revision of the TNIV. It is friendlier with gender issues.

The bad parts to the NIV 2011 is the fact that the publishers believe they know more than God on the Gender and they are switching everything over to the NIV 2011 from the NIV 1984.

No matter what translation you get it is always to get closer to God. It is better to study off of different translations than just to study off of one. I hope the helps you a little before you Buy Bible Online
